Turku Developer 2026 – make a nomination
Purpose of the Competition
The Turku Developer Award is a prestigious recognition awarded annually by the Turku Junior Chamber of Commerce since 1988 to a person, company, community, or action that has significantly increased active cooperation between the business community and other societal actors and positively influenced the development of Turku. In recent years, the award has been given to, among others, Meyer Turku, the University of Turku's Master of Science in Technology program, Kirkkopuiston Terassi, Restaurant Kaskis, and last year's winner, Peter Sarlin.
In 2026, the theme of the competition is 'Recipe for Success'. The theme seeks acts, practices, and actors that have found the recipe for success.
Nominate Turku Developer 2026
Who or what do you think has been involved in building Turku's success? You can nominate a person, company, community, project, or act that has positively influenced the development of Turku. The nominee must be an active and innovative actor who has, for example:
- promoted Turku's vitality, attractiveness, or competitiveness
- created new activities, cooperation, or growth
- brought positive visibility to Turku
- combined the expertise of the business community and other societal actors
Submit your nomination by August 8, 2026.
Public voting
Citizens will be able to vote for the Turku Developer 2026 finalists in September–October. The detailed schedule for the voting will be published later.
Nomination
The Turku Junior Chamber of Commerce and the competition's selection committee will choose the finalists from among the proposals in August.
